Nike SB Dunk Elephant Print dropping soon

Nike SB have recently unveiled some of their upcoming colourways for the Dunk SB this summer, which range from the classic elephant print (which I'll definitely be copping), to a psychedelic print, the "picnic" colourway, plus more.  More images below.

Nike SB Challenge Court

I haven't been on here in over a week, apologies....Time flies when you're busy. I'll post those DJ Nappy mixes shortly!

In the meantime, here's a picture of the new Nike SB Challenge Court, which is now available from Flatspot.

Whilst Nike SBs have been somewhat inconsistent over the past couple of years, it seems like their latest designs/colour schemes are improving.

Nike SB Dunk High Premium Deep Burgundy/Aquamarine

I haven't purchased a pair of Nike SBs in a long while; I think I might have to splash out on these.

The burgundy and aquamarine combination looks crisp!

Nike SB Dunk High Premium ‘Liberty’

Just recently spotted these online (shows how much I check for Nike SBs these days)...I'm in need of some brighter sneakers for the Spring/Summer seasons....

Based on the iconic New York landmark, the Statue of Liberty, these sneakers feaute a seagrass leather upper that will eventually fade to a copper color once scuffed or scratch, along with a cream midsole and grey outsole.

A picture of the Statue of Liberty also appears on the shoes insoles, as well as on the shoes tongue tag, replacing the Nike SB logo.

Now available at select Nike SB retailers worldwide.

Nike SB Dunk Hi Premium "Blackout"

Here's a couple of pics of an upcoming Nike SB Dunk Hi that have recently leaked online. I find a lot of SB's hit and miss, but recently they've been on point with the colourways and materials. Featuring an all black leather upper, a leather tongue and a black suede swoosh, this SB Dunk features "all black everything". No Jay-Z.

Release date is unknown, but I'm pretty sure we can expect these to drop by Spring 2011.

Nike SB “Wallenberg” Dunk Low

Another solid design from Nike SB, which is inspired by the iconic Wallenberg steps outside Raoul Wallenberg Alternative School in San Francisco. Designer Bob Kronbauer breaks down the significance of the shoe's design, as well as the choice of colours and matierials:

The Palm Tree at the foot of the 2nd step of the Big 4 at Raoul Wallenberg Alternative School in San Francisco has played a supporting role in skateboarding since 1990. My Nike SB Dunk Low colorway is inspired by this little tree’s “Twenty Year Anniversary” in 2010/2011. Throughout the mid 90’s the tree made in appearance in most of the best skate videos of the era. Dudes were getting tech using the bottom stair as a low ledge and the second stair as a high ledge. The tree grew. In the early 2000’s people started hucking themselves down the 4, pulling tricks that would have been impressive down the first stair ten years earlier. Over the decade the tree has grown larger, like the skating going on around it. The colorway draws a palette from the palm tree itself while utilizing hemp for the Swoosh. The white midsole represents the step and has a visible “waxed ledge” around the top of it, just like that step at Wallenberg. Lastly, the insoles each contain a pixelated image of the palm tree itself, giving a nod to all of the times it has appeared in skate videos over the years.

Nike SB Dunk High “Lost Oceanic Airlines”

New for January 2010, Nike SB has released a dunk inspired by that puzzling TV show "Lost" (I gave up watching it after the first season). Sporting a colourway inspired by Oceanic Airlines, these are worth picking up.

Update: Following on from the Dunk High, they've also designed a Blazer High inspired by Lost’s DHARMA Initiative. The beige colorway matches that of the DHARMA uniforms, while the “SHOE” label appears on both the insole and heeltab, referring to the distribution of supplies on the island.

Both are available now at Premier Skateboarding

P.S. If anyone can explain the Lost plot to me, that'd be dope. After reading up about the series on Wikipedia, it's left me even more confused...

Nike SB Dunk Hi "Pacman"

Gotta love the titles/nicknames Nike give their SBs...When I heard of the shoe, I was expecting some kind of all yellow monstrosity, but this looks promising...Could be a nice summer release...

Few details are available, but apparently the sneaker will feature some kind of Pac-Man theme.

Whether the shoe will go mental and gobble up ghosts after you feed it some large pills remains unknown...

Slam City Skates x Nike SB Pop Up Shop

Some interesting news for all SB fans...Nike SB is set to take over the basement space at Slam City Skates in London, serving both as a retail point and gallery, which will feature a three part photography exhibit; the first featuring Percy Dean, Jerome Campbell, Henry Kingsford and Sam Ashley. Updates for part two and three will take place in May and July respectively.

Should be worth checking out, since Nike SB have recently upped their game...

Nike SB January 2009 Releases

A couple of personal picks from this month's Nike SB releases.

The "Twin Preaks" Dunk Hi (above) and the Premium Blazer (below) are definitely the highlights of the collection, which also boasts the "Black Forest" and "Lemon Drop" colourways of the P-Rod 2, and two colourways for the Zoom Air Veloce.

I need those Blazers...

Nike SB Super Hero/Villains Pack

Select Nike SB accounts will soon be getting the Super Heroes/Villains pack, which consists of two Dunk Mids and a Dunk Hi.

Taking inspiration from characters including Batman, Spiderman and the Storm Trooper from Star Wars, all three get a suede/leather treatment following each respective characters color scheme.

Whilst Nike SB's have been steadily going downhill over the past couple of years, these aren't too bad. In all fairness, the only sneaker I'd rock would be the Stormtrooper (which more resembles Venom) model...Maybe the Spiderman model too, but to honest I just can't get down with Dunk Mids in general.

Anyhow, Industrial Rideshop is now taking pre-orders on all three.

Nike SB Dunk Mid for August 2008

Nike SB releases another Dunk Mid for August, in a grey, black, and bright blue colourway. Nice and bright, but not too loud. Similar to the "Send Help Dunk Hi", but worth copping.

Nice to finally see Nike back on the ball with some decent SB releases!

Nike SB June 2008 releases

I used to love Nike SBs. Back when they brought out shoes like the 'Bisons', 'Unlucky 13s' & 'Homers' - right up until after they released the 'Tiffany' model they were dope.

Now most of them are either bland, uninspiring colourways, or just hideous monstrosities ('3 Bears Pack', anyone?).

The only dope shoe I've seen in the June 2008 release is this Blazer SB (European exclusive too).

Aurora Blue/Varsity Maize

Colors by Danijel Todorovic, Sam Barrat, and Dave Dixon

Luckliy, the Blazer isn't a shoe that Nike has done to death with a million and one colourways and materials (unlike the Dunk or the AF1). Hopefully it'll stay that way.

Nike SB "Michelangelo" Dunk Lo & Reebok Elephant Pack

Oh boy, oh boy!

I actually went out and bought a pair of Court Victory pumps last weekend (mainly due to the fact that I was never allowed a pair as a kid - Mum thought they were bad for your feet?!), but this new pack from Reebok makes me want to part with even more of my hard earned cash....The elephant print treatment (mainly associated with the Air Jordan III) has also been given to the Pump Omni Lite & the Ventilator models....

Available now at select Reebok dealers....

Moving on swiftly - I kinda gave up on Nike SBs when they started doing silly shit like the "3 Bears" pack, and the "Taxi" series. But this sneak preview of what's to come this year may put my faith back in them....

Supposedly inspired by the TMNT character - no word on a release date as of yet.

Cowabunga dudes....
