I'm supporting Mac Miller in Birmingham!

If you're in Birmingham this Saturday, make sure you get yourself down to the HMV Institute for the Mac Miller concert. I'll be supporting, as will my good friend DJ Motive, plus the Piff Gang.

It's gonna be dope. Don't believe me? Peep some of the videos below:

DJ MK & A-Cyde Present: Gullyver @ The Alibi this Saturday

If you're in London this Saturday, make sure you head down to The Alibi in Dalston. Gullyver is always a sick party.

Big up DJ MK!

Prodigy talks about "The Infamous"

Mobb Deep’s Prodigy speaks about the origins of Havoc’s production skills, sampling jazz records that were inherited from the legendary Budd Johnson, and finessing the MC skills that made The Infamous a Hip Hop classic.

araabMuzik "Streetz Tonight" (Music Video)

Here's a dope little surveillance-style music video for araabMuzik's "Streetz Tonight", which seems to be part of some kind of marketing campaign for Pitchfork and aloft hotels.

araabMuzik's debut album, Electronic Dreams is out now from all good outlets. Cop that ish!

Directed by Eavvon O'Neal.

Kanye West wearing the Air Yeezy 2 @ 2011 MTV VMAs

I missed out on the first set of Air Yeezys. I definitely need these in my life...

More images and info to come soon!

Air Jordan 6 Rings "Carbon Fibre"

I'm quite fussy when it comes to Jordan sneakers; The only models I like are the I, III, IV, V, and XI (gotta love the Space Jam colourway).

However, this carbon fibre-esque version of the Jordan 6 Rings is pretty nice. I might be tempted to grab a pair of these and sit on them (metaphorically) until next summer.

The shoes are due for release on September 17th.

DJ Cable & DJ Hotpoint Present: "UK Garage 2011"

It's been a while since DJ Hotpoint and I have collaborated on a mixtape, and since Garage music has recently made a strong return to UK dancefloors, we thought it'd be a great opportunity to fire up Serato and record a mix.

Having both grown up during the scene's peak (I'm from Essex; Hotpoint is from Croydon), we were there to appreciate UK Garage first time around; fast-forward to 2011, and the sound is still as fresh and exciting as it was back then.

The tracklisting below represents only a tiny selection of the ever-evolving scene. Whilst we wanted to dig deep into our digital record crates and pull out a whole bunch of great material from the likes of SBTRKT, Submerse, Burial, Sully, Falty DL, Whistla and more, we decided to go with a bunch of tunes that are not only accessible to the average clubber, but have also been staple tunes in both our sets.

PIAS warehouse destroyed in London Riots...

If you've been watching the news over the past few days, you'll be aware of the looting and burning of businesses/shops/homes across London.

I've just found out that amongst those, the Sony/PIAS distribution centre in Enfield was sadly destroyed in the riots last night (8th August).

Whilst it's upsetting to hear Sony had most of their stock destroyed, I'm even more gutted for the independent labels who also housed their stock there. Amonst those include Ninja Tune, All City, Warp and Dirtee Stank, to name a few.

Like 4O5, I suggest you check out the list of labels affected below, and buy one of their records digitally. Also make sure to follow @fionchadd on twitter as she's organising a PIAS fundraiser event, or email her here. If you're a musician or a DJ, make sure you show some support.
