DJ Cable x Rock The Dub x Ego Thieves "Fuck Thugstep Vol. 1"

It’s about time I hit you with another mixtape. Rock The Dub has been pivotal in both pushing the Thugstep sound, and inspiring DJs such as myself to get involved, so it was only right that we teamed up to put out a mix for the end of 2009. Things got even better when Jenai over at Ego Thieves got involved (props for the artwork!).

The end result? A heavy mix of Dubstep/Grime/Crunk, with some exclusive refixes, as well as the ones you know and love...

Whether you love it or hate it, THUGSTEP is here to stay. Forgive me if I sound big headed, but I’ve seen the damage that it can do in rave; and with numerous DJs across the London scene and the UK supporting my blends, it’s great to see people embrace this type of sound. I'm sure DJ Nappy would be proud.

16 Bit "Chainsaw Calligraphy" (PropaTingz Crunk Massacre Remix)

16 Bit's "Chainsaw Calligraphy" was ridiculous...In a good way, that is...Now PropaTingz given this beast the remix treatment.

The end result is a sick hybrid of Crunk/Dubstep/Hip Hop...Ahh sod it, it's straight up Thugstep.

Joey Honey x Squincy Jones "Altered Beast" (Download)

Squincy Jones comes through with this sick riddim, which flips a snap beat and some nice samples from the legendary Sega Mega Drive (or Genesis, depending on where you're from) game Altered Beast.
