Max Tannone Presents: "Mos Dub" (Mixtape)

Check out this new project from Max Tanonne, the dude responsible for "Jaydiohead", who has mashed up some of Mos Def's back catalogue with a selection of Reggae/Dub/Roots samples. Most people who attempt to do mashups end up putting two songs together that are either completely out of key, or just simply sound crap. This is far from crap though! Awesome stuff...



Reminds me of the "Bobb Deep" EP that was released on AV8 back in 2005.

Diplo & Switch's latest project, Major Lazer, is set for release over here in the UK on 29th June, and has also been on my shopping list for a minute now. "Hold The Line" has been killing it on the radio and in the clubs, with it's catchy hook and vibrating cell phone samples. That beat is too much...

This latest joint featuring Jahdan Blakkamoore is more in the softer side of things, and makes the perfect soundtrack to a lazy summer afternoon. Check it out!

Don't even try to hate on this MC Shan-produced classic! You know that you got down to this back in '93.

What's crazy is that this has been recorded in the Guinness Book of World Records twice, as the highest selling reggae single in the US, and the also the biggest selling reggae single of all time...I could have sworn that someone like Sean Paul would have easily done more numbers...

Anyhow, dance around your living room and sing the "likky boom boom down" (pause) line as loud as possible...It's the only line everyone knows...

Silverlink Feat. Badness & Jammer "The Message Is Love" (Promo Video)

DJ/Producer Silverlink teamed up with Badness & Jammer to make this crazy grime/soca/rave-esque monster of a track. For promotion, Jammer & Badness hit Oxford Street armed with a CD Player and a megaphone to test their track on members of the public. Jokes....

This actually got leaked last Thursday, but I was a little bit late getting to it (it got taken down shortly after getting put online)....It's due out 22nd September, so not too long to wait!

Can't wait to see how this goes down in the clubs....
