Stunna Mane "From Mississippi To Mars" (Mixed by DJ Cable)

It's been a while since I hit you with something Thugstep-related, so here goes.

The seeds for this tape were planted early December of 2010, with a phone convo between DJ Nappy and Stunna Mane. A mutual respect for the hustle was formed, and a tentative release of "NBA All-Star Weekend 2011" was discussed.

What started out as a four-track remix EP turned into a full Thugstep album, with DJ Nappy, myself, and DJ Hipnotikk digging into our digital crates and crafting some dubstep refixes to Stunna's acapellas.

The fact that an actual artist wanted us to make a refix album/mixtape says a lot. Massive shouts to everyone who has supported the Thugstep movement so far... It can only get bigger and better from here. Enjoy!

Ego Thieves "Dubfluencial 8[PE] - A Planet Explorer"

Ego Thieves always come correct with their "Dubfluencial" series, and their latest installment is as usual, nothing but straight heat.

As this installment is the last Dubflencial mix of 2009, they've gone in with a slew of heavy hitters, exclusives, and a special collaboration of artwork from Jenai, JC Adams (Ape Apparel), and David Kelly.

DJ Cable x Rock The Dub x Ego Thieves "Fuck Thugstep Vol. 1"

It’s about time I hit you with another mixtape. Rock The Dub has been pivotal in both pushing the Thugstep sound, and inspiring DJs such as myself to get involved, so it was only right that we teamed up to put out a mix for the end of 2009. Things got even better when Jenai over at Ego Thieves got involved (props for the artwork!).

The end result? A heavy mix of Dubstep/Grime/Crunk, with some exclusive refixes, as well as the ones you know and love...

Whether you love it or hate it, THUGSTEP is here to stay. Forgive me if I sound big headed, but I’ve seen the damage that it can do in rave; and with numerous DJs across the London scene and the UK supporting my blends, it’s great to see people embrace this type of sound. I'm sure DJ Nappy would be proud.
