Damien Hirst x Supreme Signed Skate Decks

Here's something for all the skaters out there...I don't skate myself, however I'd be tempted to cop one of these (if I had the funds) to put on display in the house somewhere; they're sick!

Damien Hirst’s 2009 collaborative skate decks with Supreme will be released by Other Criteria on Thursday, July 12 via its London location.

Only 40 signed pieces will be available, each featuring a unique drawing. Additionally, the decks will be sold in limited quantities via Other Criteria's online store on July 14 at 10am GMT.

Jay-Z – Criminology Freestyle (Unreleased)

In celebration of the 15th Anniversary of Jay'z classic debut album, "Reasonable Doubt", Philly radio’s Colby Colb has decided to share an extremely rare Jay-Z interview and freestyle from 1995. This is a great piece of unreleased Hip Hop history.

In his words:

What can I say, this is a historic moment in Hip Hop. At the time I knew of Jay-z from Original Flavor and he had a cameo on this Big Daddy Kane song that was out that summer.

This was before Rocafella, this was best friends Jay and Dame driving down to Philly in twin Lexus GS Coupes with records in the trunk. This was one of Jay-z first interviews outside of New York. You could see the potential in him, he was nervous yet confident. During this interview he talks about life before Reasonable Doubt which didn’t come out until 10 months later. Check out the freestyle over some Wu beats.

Unreleased Tupac & Boot Camp Click album

Last week would have been Tupac's 40th Birthday. A lot of people claim that the game would be much different if he were still alive, and I agree. Although I wasn't the biggest fan like some of my peers (I still rate Biggie over 'Pac), he did leave behind a classic back catalogue, and a collection of tunes that will stand the test of time.

I think a lot of people would want to know what a more mature Tupac would sound like as an artist, and it's safe to say that one of the things that he would have done would be to end the coastal war. Want proof? Well, here's a full unreleased collaboration album with NY's Boot Camp Click. This is 100% original, no posthumous remixes or anything like that...

Duck Down Records CEO Dru Ha recalls the recording process:

I’ve been doing this now for 16 years and I’ve been in the studio with everyone we can think of and I’ve never seen anyone work the way he worked. I don’t even know where he pulled the energy from. He would just write the rhyme like right on the spot. Fuck them people that say that they don’t write, Pac would just write it. He would be in the booth doing it in one or two takes and then call the next emcee up. If they didn’t have their shit ready, he didn’t care if it was The Outlawz or if it was Buckshot. ‘Next! Next!’ He would just dismiss the emcee. It was never like, ‘nah, nah it’s cool, take your time.’ He put the pressure on and he kept the pressure on. It was intense and it was cool to watch.

Mad Decent Mondays: THUGSTEP Summit with DJ Nappy

Mad Decent Mondays has DJ Nappy touching down in Philly at Fluid on Monday, June 20th for the night they've called the THUGSTEP Summit. Nappy is their special guest, and will be featured alongside host MC Buddy Leezle, Dr. Ew of the Future Thugs camp, and the Mad Decent Mondays resident DJs.

Considering how long it's been since he's been sorting these refixes, and how the sound of Hip-Hop and Dubstep has come together in varying pockets of the world, this is a massive look. Big up DJ Nappy!

If you're in Philly Monday night, you should check it out.

Ragazino's ode to sneakers, using Group Home's "Superstar" instrumental.

Frank Ocean "Novacane" (Music Video)

frank ocean [novacane] from christopher francis ocean on Vimeo.

I wouldn't say I'm the biggest Odd Future fan (Tyler's album had a few solid joints, but that's about it), but Frank Ocean's mixtape has been on regular rotation on the iPod.

J. Cole "Work Out"

Here's the first single from J. Cole's anticipated debut album, which samples Kanye's "New Workout Plan".

The fact that the song's pretty dope also give me an excuse to post that cover art.

Wale "Lacefrontin"

Wale goes in over an uptempo, funky drum break. Definitely backing this one...

Trapstar x Goonies Video & Look Book

I've known about this for a good while now, and I'm glad to see this collaboration finally materialise...

Trapstar have hooked up with one of my favourite club nights (and brands), Goonies, to produce the M40 collection. For those who aren't that familiar with UK geography, the M40 is the stretch of motorway that connects London to Birmingham.

See below some pics from their look book, which features P Money, some fit Trapstar girls, and a cameo from the Candyman himself.

Recorded on Monday 6th June.

Logan's been smashing it with these "After Hours" sets. Given the fact he's only got one hour a week on legal radio, these are a great addition...
