Martone Mia Bike

I've always associated fixie bikes with hipsters, but this looks pretty dope.

Designed in New York and made in Taiwan, Martone Cycling has introduced the Martone Mia Bike.

Made from steel alloy and aluminium, it uses the same technology as the company's signature manual bikes, the SRAM Automatix 2-gear transmission. The new, more compact model weighs a mere 19 lbs, making it both smaller and lighter. The one size only 20″ wheels offers a smooth and stable ride and handlebars which can be optionally fitted with a miniature basket.

Whilst going to the gym can be a nightmare sometimes, given my lifestyle and schedule, I could be tempted to start bike riding on top my running to help keep fit.

Island Retreat by Fearon Hay Architects

Whilst Hypebeast can become inundated with posts about clothing brands that I don't really care about, they do have great taste in architecture and interior design.

If you read the blog regularly, you'll know one of my interests outside of music is interior design and houses. Anyhow, this Island retreat by Fearon Hay Architects looks great.

Overlooking Matiatia Bay, the series of structures are designed around an open courtyard in a layered enclosure that is both modern and camp-like in its arrangement, while also sheltering the inhabitants from the high winds that often batter the island.

Each concrete space is associated with each aspect of the family’s living (eating, sleeping, entertaining, etc.), and is connected via retractable glass panels and perforated aluminum screens which complete balanced aesthetic with its rough surrounding elements.

Mansory x Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 “Carbonado”

Lamborghini has always has a reputation for building extravagant cars, so it's only right that their collaboration with Mansory follows suit.

Dubbed the “Carbonado,” the super car features custom body paneling of carbon fiber alongside matching detailing on the interior and a 6.5-liter V12 under the hood – capable of 754 horsepower and 553 lb-ft torque.

Having removed the front wings and bonnet in favor of custom designs, the automobile also features a diffuser integrated into the new rear apron and the inclusion of a rear wing while new side sills utilize built-in channels to direct additional cool air to both the rear brakes and drive unit.

God knows how much this thing is going to cost.

Royal Air Force x Casio G-Shock GW-A1000RAF-1AJR

My obsession with watches continues to grow....This new collaboration between the Royal Air Force and Casio looks awesome.

"Working together to build a watch with the necessary functions that will appeal to aviators around the globe, this timepiece is highlighted by its signature “Triple G Resist” construction – a new composition meant to withstand even more shock, vibration and centrifugal gravity than your average G-Shock."

Additional features include an analogue movement where each of the three hands are controlled by individual motors dubbed “Smart Access;” a temperature indicator; one-touch Zulu time display which ensures that all pilots, regardless of location, are using the same 24-hour clock; atomic timekeeping; a solar-powered battery; and carbon fiber details.

The GW-A1000RAF-1AJR will be available at select stockists this month.

The Art of Packing from Louis Vuitton

Being someone who regularly travels across the UK and in Europe, I've learnt there is definitely an art to packing wisely.

The good folks at LV have put together this informative video, demonstrating how to effectively pack your luggage. I have to say, I never knew about the double-folding shirt combo!

Toyota 86 UAE Launch Video

I never really paid too much attention to Toyotas, but this car is pretty sick.

I'm still a Honda stan though.

Upper West Side Combo by STUDIOLAB

I'm a sucker for interior design and home improvement shows (e.g. Grand Designs, Location Location Location), and if I wasn't in the music industry, I'd have probably gone into that field.

As a result, I get geeked at seeing things like this...

Design experts StudioLAB have developed the interior for an apartment on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. Their challenge was to take the two prewar units that were challenged of light and turn them into one singular living space with three bedrooms.

Wide-plank grey-washed walnut flooring was applied throughout the apartment along with sliding Starphire acid-etched glass doors, high-gloss white lacquer millwork, LED Cove lighting, and custom floor-to-ceiling Ash wood veneered doors.

Make sure you check out StudioLAB's portfolio on their website. It's pretty sick.

Techne SparrowHawk II Watches

Techné is the brainchild of Switzerland-based Franck J. Like his earlier collections, the new SparrowHawk II is a tool watch inspired by Aviation instruments.

Easy to use and water-resistant to 100 meters, the 41 millimeter-wide timepiece comes with night-visible markings and a matte black dial without glare. Two styles are currently available: brushed steel on steel bracelet, or cockpit black on canvas strap. Although a micro-brand, Techné pays close attention to sustainability and ensures that all carbon emissions are compensated for and recycled paper is used for stationery and packaging.

The watches, which are quite reasonbly priced, can be purchased from their online store, or through selected partners which are listed on the site.

Baby Milo Coin Bank

Even though some of their garments can still be a quite over the top in terms of design and colour scheme, BAPE always come correct with these quirky lifestyle items and household accessories.

Part of the Spring/Summer Collection for 2011, and now available at all Japanese BAPE stores, this Baby Milo coin bank stands 20cm high and is large enough to take a variety of coins. Whilst there is no doubt that it'll be expensive, it certainly makes a stylish replacement for your traditional piggy bank.

A Conversation With A-Trak (Video)

Great little interview with A-Trak, who talks about the exploding Electro scene as well as his DJ career...

I gotta co-sign his comment about coming with something original. These days, too many DJs are looking to their idols and biting their style, or simply cashing in on the latest trend...
