Here's the latest single to be taken from the Cruel Summer album, which is produced by Hit-Boy. However, I'm adamant that they should have put Pusha T on there instead of Big Sean.
Apologies for the lack of posting over the last week or so. I needed a break over the festive period!
I haven't really posted a full Hip Hop mix this year, so here's part one of my Hip Hop roundup for 2011.
This mix features some of the biggest club tracks of the year, from artists such as Drake, Nick Minaj, Kanye West & Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, Big Sean and Wiz Khalifa, as well as newer faces such as Yelawolf, Tyler The Creator, A$AP Rocky, and more.
Part two will include more on the slept-on/underground tracks of 2011.
I hope you enjoy the mix. Feel free to leave comments and feedback.

In celebration of the 15th Anniversary of Jay'z classic debut album, "Reasonable Doubt", Philly radio’s Colby Colb has decided to share an extremely rare Jay-Z interview and freestyle from 1995. This is a great piece of unreleased Hip Hop history.
In his words:
What can I say, this is a historic moment in Hip Hop. At the time I knew of Jay-z from Original Flavor and he had a cameo on this Big Daddy Kane song that was out that summer.
This was before Rocafella, this was best friends Jay and Dame driving down to Philly in twin Lexus GS Coupes with records in the trunk. This was one of Jay-z first interviews outside of New York. You could see the potential in him, he was nervous yet confident. During this interview he talks about life before Reasonable Doubt which didn’t come out until 10 months later. Check out the freestyle over some Wu beats.
Following from last week's announcement that Jay Electronica had signed to Jay-Z's Roc Nation imprint, here's the full version of "Shiny Suit Theory", featuring The-Dream.
Great interview. Jay talks about his friendship with Obama, staying relevant in Hip Hop at 40 years old, celebrating his 40th birthday (LOL @ the Puffy impression), and more. Check the video below for a live performance of "On To The Next One".
Thought it's about time I hit you with a new blend...
For this one, Hova's "99 Problems" gets thrown over Cocoa Brovaz' classic "Super Brooklyn". I made a slight re-arrangement on the beat just for the chorus, but other than that, a nice simple blend to maybe work into your sets...
Props to Jay-Z, who scored his first UK #1 this past weekend with "Run This Town". Whilst I'm not the biggest fan of Rihanna's hook, it's definitely a solid club banger.
"The Blueprint 3" is released in the UK on September 14th.
It took me a good few listens to properly get into this track, but I'm liking it. Admittedly, Rihanna's singing doesn't do it much justice, but Jay's on form, and Kanye delivers a good guest verse too.
Normally Chase & Status come correct with their remixes, and given the fact they're Dubstep is ridiculously sick (possibly better than they're D&B in some cases), you'd have thought that would deliver the goods on this one.
Instead, we're left with an average-sounding electronic Hip Hop beat, which doesn't compliment Jay's vocals at all...
