Affion Crockett – WTF (Feat. Jay-Z & Lil Wayne)

More comedy impersonations from Affion Crockett, which is taken from forthcoming album, aptly titled Watch The Clone.

Drake Feat. Lil Wayne "HYFR" (Music Video)

To be fair, this joint is actually quite dope.

DJ Cable - 2011 AD (Part 1)

Apologies for the lack of posting over the last week or so. I needed a break over the festive period!

I haven't really posted a full Hip Hop mix this year, so here's part one of my Hip Hop roundup for 2011.

This mix features some of the biggest club tracks of the year, from artists such as Drake, Nick Minaj, Kanye West & Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, Big Sean and Wiz Khalifa, as well as newer faces such as Yelawolf, Tyler The Creator, A$AP Rocky, and more.

Part two will include more on the slept-on/underground tracks of 2011.

I hope you enjoy the mix. Feel free to leave comments and feedback.

Lil Wayne Feat. Eminem "Drop The World" (Music Video)

After hearing this for a couple of months, this has grown on me...Sure as hell wouldn't play it out, though...

*dead* at everyone saying Wayne did a better job than Em on this tune. Yeah, right...

Hey, Mr. Cartel (ItsTheReal) (Video)

>

With Weezy headed up the river, we at ItsTheReal.com wondered who exactly would take over as captain of the SS Young Money. Rough seas ahead?

Lil Wayne Feat. Eminem "Drop The World"

So it's no great surprise that "Rebirth" has been pushed back til February...It was bound to happen...

Here's the long awaited collaboration with Eminem that everyone's been after. My thoughts? After a few listens, it's grown on me a lot. Em's flow is ridiculous on this! I still think a better beat could have been chosen, and although it's one of those joints that I wouldn't play out, but it's definitely a fairly solid collaboration.

Drake "Forever" (Music Video)

Directed by Hype Williams.

Eminem > everyone else on this. Best guest verse of 09, perhaps?

Drake Feat. Kanye, Lil Wayne & Eminem "Forever" (No DJ)

One of the hottest collaborations this year for Hip Hop. Saying that, it's all about Eminem's verse...his flow on this is ridiculous! Just goes to prove that Marshall will outshine you if he guest appears on your record...Remember what happened on "Renegade"...

Apparently this is being remastered tomorrow, and will be released shortly afterwards...Until then, enjoy this untagged version.

Listen/Get: Drake Feat. Kanye, Lil Wayne & Eminem "Forever"

Lil Wayne Feat. Pharrell Williams "Yes"

Damn, this beat is filthy!

I didn't know Pharrell got down with Dubstep?!

Listen: Lil Wayne Feat. Pharrell Williams "Yes"

Swizz Beatz Feat. Lil Wayne "Up In This Club"

This started out promising, and then turned crap quite quickly when the beat kicked in. As much as I love most of Swizzy's production, this isn't his best work...

Listen/Get: Swizz Beatz Feat. Lil Wayne "Up In This Club"

If you want to know where the original sample came from, it's "Female Of The Species" by Space - A 90's Britpop band, who had a small string of hits (this one even featured in an advert for ladies' deodorant), and then disappeared into obscurity. Anyhow, like Swizzy'z joint, this song isn't that great either...

I love how there's always the one band member who has to wear sunglasses.

Mack Maine Feat. Lil Wayne "Throw It Back"

New heat from Mack Maine & Don Cannon’s upcoming project “This Is Just A Mixtape”.

Yep, there's even more vocoder action from Weezy too...Whilst I think Wayne's dope, I really think they should ban the use of vocoders from 2009 onwards.

DJ Drama Presents: Lil Wayne "Dedication 3"

Anyhow, here's the latest in the "Dedication" series. Don't sleep.

Also, I've read on t'internet that the re-release of "Carter 3" (aka "Carter 3: The Rebirth", which is due for release around Christmas time) won't contain ANY of the original tracks as the original release.

However it'll still have the same title. The reason being that Dwayne wants "Carter IV" to be "what everyone wants "Carter IV" to be", as the re-release will be more experimental. So in other words this may be his "808's & Heartbreak"? I digress...

BONUS! Don't wanna download the full thing? Stream it here (via Nah Right).

Lil Wayne "Mrs. Officer/Comfortable" (Music Video)

Weezy's 4th single off "Carter 3".

Lil Wayne x The Roots "A Milli" (Live)

Clear version of the audio can be found here.

From what I've read on Nah Right, that's ?uestlove doing the "A Mill'is".

Kardinal Offishall Feat. Lil Wayne & Pusha T "Swag" (CDQ)

Ahh man! I've been waiting a good few months for the CDQ to finally leak! Here's the No DJ version.

Semtex blazed this on his show a while back (his radio rip was the only version you get), and there was talk that this wouldn't see the light of day due to Dwayne's beef with The Clipse. Definitely a hot record.

Weezy & friends do their thing at the VMAs.

I can't help but keep thinking 'what if Wayne had done a "Bleeding Love" freestyle?' Okay maybe not....Scrub that idea Cable....
