It's been under wraps for a while that Dream McLean had signed to MTA Records. Finally the secret's out, and we're treated to his debut single Network, produced by label heads Chase & Status. The production on this is sick.

I'm glad to see someone from Essex...in fact....someone who only lives 5 minutes down the road from me get the shine they deserve. Rest assured you'll be hearing a lot more from Dream over the next year.

The track will be available for download soon, along with a remix by Chase & Status.

Dream McLean "Let You Go" Freestyle (Prod. Chase & Status)

Dream McLean comes through once again with another heavy freestyle, this time over the Brookes Brothers remix of Chase & Status' current club banger. Fire as usual.

The fact that he can spit of a variety of BPMs proves his versatility as an MC, and with the Purple Promo Vol. 3 set to drop next month, I have a feeling we're going to be hearing a lot more from this guy across the next 12 months.

I'll be honest, I wasn't much of a fan of "Snoop Dogg Millionare". In my opinion, Snoop's flow was too lazy for Chase & Status' production. I stumbled upon the acapella of Bonecrusher's "Never Scared" whilst sorting out my crates, put 2 and 2 together, and decided to make a quick Thugstep blend...

Jay-Z "D.O.A." (Chase & Status Remix)

Is it me, or is this a let down?

Normally Chase & Status come correct with their remixes, and given the fact they're Dubstep is ridiculously sick (possibly better than they're D&B in some cases), you'd have thought that would deliver the goods on this one.

Instead, we're left with an average-sounding electronic Hip Hop beat, which doesn't compliment Jay's vocals at all...

Better luck next time, chaps...

Chase & Status "Saxon" (OH SNAP!! Edit Stylee)

It seems that re-editing/remixing Dubstep is the latest craze. Jack Beats killed it on the "Where's My Money" remix, whilst Snoop has recently jumped on "Eastern Jam" to create the rather shite "Snoop Doog Millionaire". Whilst I'm all for people experimenting with different sounds and genres, let's just hope the D-O-Double-G doesn't end up creating a full album that'll sound like Clownstep...

Anyhow, OH SNAP!! gives Chase & Status' latest smash the re-edit treatment, turning an already sick track into an dirty uptempo banger...I'm looking forward to duppying the dance with this joint.

Chase & Status Feat. Kano "Against All Odds" (Dubstep Remix)

Following on from their massive 2008 release of More Than Alot, Chase & Status are showing no signs of slowing down. Against All Odds has recently been released as a single, backed by Saxon. Whilst both tunes are big in their own right, I'm more excited about the remix pack.

Xample does his thing on the A Side, with a typically Jump-Up Drum & Bass offering, whilst on the flip, Chase & Status put their own track under the knife and give it the dubstep treatment. Watch out for the dubstep remix getting rinsed out nationwide - its definitely More Than Alot...
