Free music courtesy of the Dub Police head honcho. Whilst the 2nd drop is a bit too noisy for me, I'm definitely digging that wonky saw wave in the first section. This will definitely bang on a loud system.

Emalkay "Crusader" (Promo Video)

This is an absolute monster of a tune, which has been tearing down raves for the past few months. Backed with "Powertool" on the B-side, this is one solid release which I'm sure will stay in lots of DJ's record bags (read: CD wallets and laptops) for a long time. I'm really looking forward to hearing his forthcoming album!

Seeing as the snow has fucked up another one of my bookings this weekend, I thought I'd get back on the blogging...

Some of you may remember I made this back in 2009 as a DJ tool. After featuring it in my Discobelle and BBC 1Xtra mixes, and months of requests - here it is. Caspa's banger gets flipped into a breaks/booty bass number.

Caspa "Back For The First Time" (Video)

Caspa's back with what could be regarded as the summer Dubstep anthem. Released next month on his own Sub Soldiers imprint, and consisting of an epic trance-like synth (backed with Caspa's trademark growling bass) there's no doubt that it'll be tearing up dancefloors and radio sets throughout the rest of this year.

Admittedly, it may sound a tad formulaic, but on a loud system this bangs...

Also, next Friday (21st May) sees Dub Police take over London's mighty Fabric nightclub for an evening of big basslines and filthy beats. Lineup looks sick, and seeing as I've got the night off, I might have to pop down to this.
