Blackberry Bold (aka Blackberry 9000)
'Oh boy!' as Dr. Sam Beckett would say....
The latest Blackberry has been unveiled, and it's definitely been worth the wait!
It seems that the operating software has seen some new developments, as well as a whole bunch of improvements, including WiFi, HSPDA, GPS, Bluetooth, and the memory. The Bold/9000 now comes with 1GB internal memory(!!!!!!!!!) for storage, and has 128MB Flash memory for applications - All upgradable. Like the Blackberry Curve, the Bold also has a built-in 2 mega pixel camera, with 5x digital zoom and flash.
What's really exciting is the improvements to the media player. This time, video support includes DivX 4, whilst Div X 5 & 6 are partially supported. XviD is partially supported. As for the audio - .3gp, MP3, WMA9 (.wma/.asf), WMA9 Pro/WMA 10, MIDI, AMR-NB, Professional AAC/AAC+/eAAC+ is supported. Even better, BlackBerry Media Sync allows you to transfer your desktop iTunes music to your BlackBerry!
Anyone who has a Blackberry swears by them (myself included) - the whole operating system is simple to use, and it's reliable. Yeh, the iPhone is nice to play with, and looks dope, but do they really think they can get the business phone market on lock?
I'm due for an upgrade this summer, and am hoping that T-Mobile will get this in time.
