We've been waiting ages to finally hear what the homegirl Yasmin sounds like on a record, and suffice to say she does not disappoint! From the production, to Devlin's verse and Yasmin's amazing vocals, this is a quality piece of music.
It's crazy to think it's exactly a year since DJ AM passed away.
The impact this guy had on the DJ world was crazy; so much so, that I'd say he definitely paved the way for mashup/multi-genre DJ-ing in general. This guy had undeniable talent.
R.I.P. DJ AM.
P.S. I'm still loving the fact he had a cameo in Iron Man 2.
Carnival weekend is almost here in London, and whilst there are a load of events going on, you really should make note of these two down in your diary; not just because I'm DJ-ing (well, you should come along to see me anyways), but because both lineups are simply ridiculous

Expect a full on carnival bash complete with outdoor BBQ (8pm-10:30pm) and an X-Box Street Fighter 4 Battle on the roof terrace all for £5. That's a pretty fucking good deal if I say so myself!

The following day, I'll be spinning at Yasmin'sBad Intentions Carnival Party at The Chepstow. The lineup for this is also huge; she's even got D&B masters Future Cut in for a guest DJ set too! Expect a mish mash of everything Urban, topped off with some Carnival vibes...
Being the nice person that she is, Yasmin has also just uploaded a sick new mixtape. Packed with a load of heat ranging from Dubstep, to Bmore, Tropical, House and Electro, as well as some of her own re-edits, this is well worth checking out!

If only I had the time (and the money) to have gone to Rock The Bells! This looked awesome... Although I gotta agree with DJ MK, the crowd did look a little bit wack...
Shouts to Macca who's just released his debut mixtape for free download. Stay Fresh have been on point this year with quality releases such as the Wooooo Riddim EP, and they show no signs of slowing down anytime soon...
Featuring recent heat alongside brand new material, and with guest features from artists such as Frisco, Trilla, and Stay Fresh members J-1 & Menace, and also production from the likes of Moky, S-X, DVA, Speedy, this is one solid mixtape. If you're a fan of this thing called Grime, then you need this in your life.
The Jordan brand continues to retro it's collection of classic sneakers, and this time around, they've decided to release the Jordan II shoe in yet another selection of bold colours. Dubbed the "Candy" pack (as well as the "Rasta" pack), we're given a choice of red, yellow, and green; which I have to say is my favourite out of the three.
The shoes will be hitting select Jordan accounts on October 30th.
Here's a bonus cut off Raekwon's OB4CL2 "Gold Deluxe Edition", which features new artwork, extra tracks, and four new remixes. As well as featuring GZA & Inspectah Deck, the track also features some lovely vocals from songstress Thea.
The digital release will also feature six bonus videos too. You can cop the album from iTunes.
Just got sent this nice little promo mix from Vaski, which features music that is forthcoming on Rottun in 2010. It also contains four brand new tracks which did not exist anywhere online untill now, amongst a selection of recent Dubstep bangers that are tearing down the raves...
If you like your Dubstep loud and filthy, then I suggest you give this a listen...
The Hundreds unveil their latest 59Fifty fitted cap...
Part of their Fall/Winter 2010 collection, the cap's design carries a baseball theme with the classic "TH logo" as the centrepiece. Three different colourways, including black, cardinal, and purple are now available via select Hundreds stockists, including their online store
First up, here's a free 11 track EP from Boy Better Know's Frisco. People forget how dope this guy actually is when it comes to spitting; in my opinion, he's highly underrated. Packed full of heat, the EP shows he's just as comfortable flowing over Hip Hop, as he is when it comes to Grime.
Standout tracks include "Keepin' It G'd Up", "Mad Ting", "Freestyle Rally" (big up Stay Fresh!), and "Ring The Alarm".
Next up, here's some freeness from Griminal. Alongside Maxta, he's one of the younger artists that is currently carrying the torch for the Grime scene. Tracks three, four and five are well worth checking out...
01. Hello Good Morning Freestyle 02. Grimson 03. Jump (Feat. Tiny, Nart & Shrimpoz) 04. East London Is Back II 05. Grimsta (Feat. Maxsta) 06.Life Is Dead (Feat. Stelf & Shrimpoz) 07. Pleasure Freestyle & Hidden Track (Grimsom II)
You should also check out the interview he recently did with MTV's The Wrap Up
As part of celebrating their 2010 Japan tour, Stones Throw and Stussy have collaborated on a couple of limited t-shirts.
Following from their involvement with popular Japanese retailer United Arrows & Sons, a further part of Stussy’s Japanese tour has been unveiled. Stops include Friday, August 27th at UNIT in Tokyo and Saturday, August 28th in Osaka at Triangle.
As a result, there will be a special Stussy version of the Stones Throw Japan tour tee in white and blue, which will be released this Saturday at all Stussy Japan chapters.
This Saturday, I'll be spinning at the Mixcloud Summer Meetup, at the Big Chill House from 7:30pm - 8:30pm.
Entry is free, and the whole team is going to be there, so be sure to come down and say hello. Whilst on the subject, if you're a DJ and you're looking for great hosting site for your mixes, with easy links to Twitter, Facebook, and Myspace, then look no further...
I've never been on holiday to Napa, but if you have within the last 10 years, chances are you've probably shaken a leg to some of these tunes, whilst sipping on cheap ouzo...
As part of 1Xtra's celebration of "10 Years of Ayia Napa", Jaguar Skills has put together a slick 20 minute mix of some of the best UK Garage tracks, alongside of that UK Funky & Bassline stuff...
The best bit about the mix? It's hosted by Kano! Nice to hear him spitting on 140 BPM beats again...
You can download the mix directly from the BBC website here

I haven't been the biggest fan of the last two Kanye joints that leaked online (peep Nah Right to hear them), but like many, I'm interested to hear what his new album will sound like...
I'm a fan of the original instrumental, Back For The First Time, but this version with the vocals is wack...I'm not feeling it at all..
I'm pretty sure it'll get caned on radio, and all the daytime presenters will no doubt think it's amazing, but seriously... Mr. Hudson doesn't suit this type of record. Caspa should have just left it as it is - a good club record minus the crap vocals...
One of favourite club tunes at the moment. The original instrumental, MDMA is an absolute monster of a beat, and Ms. Dynamite has done a pretty good job spitting over the top. Saying that, I still prefer to play the instrumental, but both versions tear down the club easily...
If you're a regular reader, you may recognise this from June's Podcast.
Following DJ Nappy'srecent return to the DJ-ing, and all things Thugsteppery, I thought I'd give you lot a little taster as to what to expect from the forthcoming Fuck Thugstep Vol. 2 mixtape from myself & Rock The Dub – This blend sees JME & Tempz go over Noah D’s Dubstep anthem from last year…
The mix should be out next month; you can expect the usual hybrid of Dirty South & Grime acapellas over Dubstep, plus some exclusive stuff too!
P.S. If you haven't already peeped Vol. 1, do so now!
Apologies for taking so long to post this up, the last couple of weeks have been hectic with mixtape work, and personal stuff...

World-renowned DJ, sandwich critic and Harvard Math grad (yes, that's right) Shiftee is back with another awesome video, demonstrating the possibilities of Native Instruments' Traktor Scratch Pro, ultising their Maschine and X1 controllers.
The video sees him cutting up the bassline and acapella to Dead Prez' classic anthem Hip Hop over Caspa's Dub Warz. I'd go into more detail, but being the considerate person he is, Shiftee has also made a separate video explaining his routine...
Great stuff. He may be a 2x DMC World Champion, but I'd still kick his ass in a snack-based culinary battle, haha!
Logan Sama gave this remix the world premier on his Kiss 100 show last night.
Despite the fact that I think Diddy is a substandard rapper, this is a massive look for Grime scene. The US music industry has been taking influence from UK sounds for a while now, and it's great to see one of Hip Hop's biggest artists jump on a Grime remix, with one of the scene's best MCs.
