Beyoncé - Drunk In Love (DJ Cable Edit)

Forgot to post this the other week...

Here's a slowed-down trippy edit of Mrs. Carter's latest club smash from yours truly...

Hope you dig it.

Migos x Drake - Trophies (DJ Cable Remix)

Happy New Year, everyone... I hope you all had a great Festive Season.

I've decided to be a lot more proactive with bootlegs/edits/remixes (and original releases) this year, so here goes...

Drake's new track Trophies has been making some noise 'pon di internet this past week; even more so since Migos jumped on it. I thought I'd have a go at remixing the track, making it more suitable for the Trap/EDM crowd. The end result is this...

Enjoy!

Kanye West - New Slaves (DJ Cable Remix)

As you all know, Yeezus dropped last week.

I'm still pretty undecided about the album; there are only 4 tracks that I really like in total...one of them being New Slaves...and being the person that I am, I decided to give it a little makeover for the club.

Download it for free, leave a comment, and all that stuff below!

I also have to give a massive shout out to my Canadian homies Thugli, who have cooked up a sick remix of Send It Up - Go check out their remix after you've downloaded mine!

DECiBEL Feat. Flowdan - Skanks (DJ Cable '5 Minute Workout' Remix)

"Badboi skanks on the menu...."

I'm pleased to announce my first official remix of the year! The good folks at Four40 Records asked me to remix DECiBEL's latest tune, Skanks, which features none other than Grime legend Flowdan.

The end result is some uptempo bass-heavy goodness that will help provide the ultimate aerobic workout! The EP will include other remixes from the likes of LOLGurlz, I Killed Kenny, Hybrid Theory, Network, and Enigma Dubz.

Skanks (including the full remix pack) will be available to purchase digitally from 1st April. Spread the word!

DJ Cable - BBC 1Xtra Guest Mixes for CJ Beatz!

"It's been a long time, I shouldn't have left you, without some DJ Cable mixes to listen to...."

Apologies for the lack of posts recently. I've been locked away in the studio working on music, as well as a number of mixtapes for clients such as The Candy Store, Universal, and a few others. There are some exciting things in the pipeline for this year.

Speaking of mixtapes, here are a couple that I recently put together for my good friend CJ Beatz on BBC 1Xtra.

First up, my New Year's Eve mix, which is straight up 90's/00's Dancehall. Something different I guess, but worth checking out. Lots of classic riddims in the mix such as Playground, Filthy, Buy Out, Bookshelf, and Up Close & Personal.

Lastly, here's my most recent mix, which aired on Monday night. 10 minutes' worth of bass-heavy goodness from the likes of Baauer, Flosstradamus, Dead Prez, A$AP Rocky, French Montana and Willy Moon.

I'll be doing my best to keep you all updated with pictures from touring this year, as well as regular posts. It's hard trying to maintain a blog these days, but be patient and stick with me; there are lots of good things to come this year :)

Willy Moon Feat. Wiley - Yeah Yeah (DJ Cable Remix)

I'm pleased to announce my first remix for a major label!

I made this whilst on tour in France the other week, after realising I had the stems to the original tune on my hard drive. Seeing as I had little to no internet connection, I decided to keep myself occupied in between shows by making a remix.

The powers that be liked the rough version, and after some support and radio play from my good friends Mistajam and CJ Beatz, I then got an email asking to include Wiley's verse on the remix. I complied, and the rest is history!

Big up the team at Island Records, hopefully there will be more remix opportunities in the future.

New Music - I'ma G

New dark/minimal Trap music from me. Hope you like it!

DJ Cable - New Trap Order (Free Download)

Being the kind person that I am, I've decided to let this off for free download. It's been a staple tune in my sets recently, and has been proven to smash dancefloors (and festival stages) to pieces.

Hell, even Mistajam told me this set Fabric alight when he dropped it.

Big up Wesley Snipes, the trillest vampire of all time, yo.

DJ Cable - OH!

New minimal 808/Twerk music from myself. Make sure you leave a cheeky comment!

Pasteman & Tanka - Camaro EP (Preview)

New 808 vibes from Pasteman & Tanka's 12" EP, which is forthcoming on 877records.

Tanka is also playing at Tim & Barry's Just Jam next week. Make sure you lock in from 6-9pm!

DJ Cable x For Love & Money Mix

Shouts to Dinesh over at For Love And Money for getting me to do a guest mix for the relaunch of his site.

If you're not up on the brand, they stock some awesome hand-printed garms and all other goodness. Make sure you stop by the online store and purchase something.

Anyhow, back to the mix. I went with a mixture of 808/Garagey vibes, along with some Grime and Hip Hop for good measure. Enjoy!

Footwork Jungle...

Following on from my previous post about Juke music, and the tune which I recently made with Fused Forces, I thought I'd share this with you lot...

Footwork Jungle Vol.2 by Phillip D Kick

I remember seeing this online a few weeks ago and thinking to myself, "ahh, I need to post this!" Alas, I totally forgot. Anyhow, this chap called Phillip D Kick has nicely reworked a bunch of classic Jungle tunes into a set of footwork-friendly anthems. Amongst them you can find the likes of Adam F's "Circles", Q Project's "Champion Sound", Omni Trio's "Renegade Snares", and even LTJ Bukem reworked into a frenzy of skippy 808 drum patterns.

Footwork Jungle Vol.1 by Phillip D Kick

Although the tunes have reached their download limit on Soundcloud, you can still download Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 via Mediafire. Expect to hear some of these on my radio show next week!

DJ Cable x Fused Forces "Whip It"

One genre that's caught my attention over the past couple of years has been Juke/Footwork music. Whilst I'd never really dabbled in producing any, I've recently been inspired to start experimenting since hearing Addison Groove's music, which bridges the gaps between Miami Bass, Juke and Dubstep.

There's something about rapid 808 drums and chopped vocals that really appeal to me. Here's something I recently cooked up with my good friends Fused Forces

Feedback is welcomed.

Addison Groove "Bad Things"

Headhunter comes correct with this cheeky Spank Rock re-work...

ADDISON GROOVE - BAD THINGS by addisongroove

In his words:

“bootleg
Vocal By Spank Rock
Drums by 808
Processing by Drawmer
Mixdown by me

Listened to by you”

Tanka "LesGo"

I've had this tune on repeat throughout the month... It's only over the past year that I've been getting more and more into the uptempo, 808 side of Dubstep/Garage/whatever you call it. Big tune.

This collaboration with Δdmin is pretty dope also...
